FCA- We are a fellowship of LCMS Christian athletes (hence FCA), lead by Mr. Dickinson. that meets
every other Wednesday before school in the multi-purpose room. FCA is a worldwide organization. At
every meeting, we get together and talk about professional athletes who are influenced by their faith in
God. We also address topics such as gratitude, kindness, and confidence. We are the ones that
organize the annual dodgeball tournament at LCMS. This past week, we welcomed the 6th graders to
our group and brainstormed ideas for things we could do to help the community.

Band- Band is a group of students who all play different varieties of instruments, this week for the band
we will be rehearsing outside to practice for the Shenfest coming up on september 22nd. The Shenfest
is a competition that the Lewis central 8th grade band goes to yearly, we will meet in the band room at
11:30 on the 22nd, The parade will start at 2. The lcms band had a very different experience at the
Celebrate CB parade in 2018, as we started moving for the parade directly next to our band we
watched a guy who threatened to light off a firework into the parade get tazed. We all laughed about it
but we also a little surprised it happened right next to us.

Fortnite- Fortnite is a video game that was created by Epic Games It was released in September 26,
2017. Fortnite Battle Royale is the completely free 100-player PvP mode in Fortnite. Fortnite building
skills and destructible environments combined with intense PvP combat. To start the game you start on
the battlebus and you jump out onto the giant map and you have to be the last one standing. My favorite
place to land is tilted towers because there is a lot of action and is really fun. I can't pick a favorite skin
because I have a lot and my favorite glider is the hot ride which is a car. Also my favorite harvesting tool
is called the “you shouldn’t have” which is a picaxe wrapped in wrapping paper. Also it is really rare
because it came out during Christmas time which was in season 2 and not very many people played in
season 2. What you want to do is win so you can get a lot of xp also the game keeps track of how
many wins you got. Right now I have a total of 216 wins and I hope to get 300 by the end of season 6.

ReBel-ReBel is a student-driven education and prevention program that is made to address eating and
body concerns. In ReBel they work on activities and strategies to emphasize and create importance
toward each students strengths, to teach confidence within every student. There main focus is teaching
everyone to love themselves for who there are rather than what they look like. Every meeting they do
lots of activities to make sure that they create a safe and comfortable environment for everyone in the
club, and sometimes they do community outreach events to try to talk to other school within the
program or citizens in our community as well. To be in ReBel you just have to fill out an application and
turn it in to Ms. Guntly, meetings are twice a month after school at 3:30, and days have yet to be
determined.

Cole. Tuesday, September 11, the 8th-grade Volleyball team played Lewis Centrals biggest rivals,
Harlan. After a rocky start to the season, the Titans pulled through with all three teams (A,B,C) with a
win. The volleyball girls have practice every day after school for roughly two and a half hours and work
on many things to make the teams play as a whole. Our next game is on Thursday, September 13, and
we are ready to take on La Vista. As the Titans took the win we all had a moment that none of us will
forget. The moment when Rylee had her feet slipped out from underneath her and lands on the ground
hard. The whole team and crowd was laughing and in tears.

Choir-Choir is an activity that involves singing. The songs that we will be singing are Chile Caliente,
filling the night with singing. It’s very boring. There's going to be a concert on November,5. It starts at
7:00 at the middle school auditorium.

Football- the lewis central middle school football program` has practice everyday and games on
Thursday.Our schedule is only 6 games a season. We have a record of 1-1 on the season we just

game was not the way we would have liked for the A team, we ended the first quarter 0-26 and after
the second quarter ended we lost 26-32 we had a tremendous comeback and ended the last 10
seconds at the 20m yard line. The B team had a great game winning 12 nothing. Now we prepare for
our upcoming game against Russell MS
